تدشين تمثال كارل ماركس في المكتبة العامة «كونيمارا»

 The Communist Party of India warmly congratulates the Secular Progressive Government of Tamil Nadu on the unveiling of the statue of Karl Marx at the Connemara Public Library adjoining the Egmore Museum in Chennai. We extend our sincere thanks to Chief Minister M. K. Stalin for this meaningful initiative that honours one of the most influential thinkers in human history.

Karl Marx’s life and work reshaped the course of world history. Through his profound analysis of capitalism class exploitation and the material foundations of society Marx provided generations of the oppressed with a scientific understanding of injustice and a vision for liberation. His ideas inspired historic struggles for workers’ rights social equality democracy and human dignity across continents. Marx also closely studied colonialism and wrote incisively on India exposing how British imperial rule devastated its economy destroyed indigenous industries and deepened social misery, an analysis that remains vital to understanding our past and present.

The unveiling of this statue reflects the deep ideological synergy between Marxist thought and the rationalist Dravidian movement. Both traditions stand firmly against exploitation, inequality, superstition, oppression and uphold reason, human dignity and collective emancipation. This shared legacy has shaped Tamil Nadu’s progressive path grounded in social justice, self-respect and unity.

At a time when inequality is widening and divisive, Fascist forces seek to weaken democratic and secular values, Karl Marx’s ideas continue to endure, guiding struggles for economic justice, social equality and a humane future. This tribute is not merely to a statue but to an idea that unites progressive forces and strengthens our collective resolve to build a just and egalitarian society.

يتقدّم الحزب الشيوعي الهندي بأحرّ التهاني إلى الحكومة العلمانية التقدمية لولاية تاميل نادو بمناسبة تدشين تمثال كارل ماركس في المكتبة العامة «كونيمارا» المجاورة لمتحف إغمور في مدينة تشيناي. ونعرب عن خالص شكرنا لرئيس الحكومة م. ك. ستالين على هذه المبادرة ذات المغزى، التي تُكرِّم أحد أكثر المفكّرين تأثيرًا في تاريخ البشرية.

لقد أعادت حياة كارل ماركس وأعماله تشكيل مسار التاريخ العالمي. فمن خلال تحليله العميق للرأسمالية واستغلال الطبقات والأسس المادية للمجتمع، قدّم ماركس لأجيال من المقهورين فهمًا علميًا للظلم ورؤيةً للتحرّر. وقد ألهمت أفكاره نضالات تاريخية من أجل حقوق العمّال والمساواة الاجتماعية والديمقراطية والكرامة الإنسانية عبر القارات. كما درس ماركس الاستعمار عن كثب وكتب بعمق عن الهند، كاشفًا كيف دمّر الحكم الإمبريالي البريطاني اقتصادها، وقضى على الصناعات المحلية، وعمّق البؤس الاجتماعي—وهو تحليل لا يزال حيويًا لفهم ماضينا وحاضرنا.

إن تدشين هذا التمثال يعكس التناغم الأيديولوجي العميق بين الفكر الماركسي والحركة الدرافيدية العقلانية. فكلا التقليدين يقفان بحزم ضد الاستغلال واللامساواة والخرافة والقمع، ويُعليان من شأن العقل والكرامة الإنسانية والتحرّر الجماعي. وقد شكّل هذا الإرث المشترك المسار التقدّمي لولاية تاميل نادو، المرتكز على العدالة الاجتماعية واحترام الذات والوحدة.

وفي وقتٍ تتّسع فيه الفوارق، وتسعى فيه قوى فاشية انقسامية إلى إضعاف القيم الديمقراطية والعلمانية، تظل أفكار كارل ماركس حيّة ومؤثّرة، تُوجّه النضالات من أجل العدالة الاقتصادية والمساواة الاجتماعية ومستقبل إنساني. إن هذا التكريم ليس مجرد تمثال، بل هو احتفاء بفكرة توحّد القوى التقدمية وتعزّز عزمنا الجماعي على بناء مجتمع عادل ومتكافئ.
